Lottie and Eiric are so different there’s no way they could possibly find their way to each other.
Lottie is a human and the mother of twins whose father seems to want absolutely nothing to do with her or their children. She’s already in a country with no family and now she’s raising twins all alone.
Eiric, however, is the youngest son of his sea-dragon clan’s ruling family and tasked with finding out who killed his middle brother, the father of Lottie’s twins. Except, upon meeting Lottie he’s drawn to her in a way that he can’t explain.

Lottie is out on a mission to find the father of her twins and get him to sign some paperwork so she can get benefits from the Norwegian government as a single mum. When she finally catches him at home it turns out it’s his brother, Eiric.
Eiric can’t believe his brother would be silly enough to sleep with a human, let alone get one pregnant. If what Lottie’s saying is true, then there’s a huge risk of baby sea dragons being loose in the public for anyone to discover their existence.
The only problem for both of them is that there seems to be a witch out to kill Lottie’s twins and they need to find them and protect themselves before it’s too late.

Zoe’s ability to write about the paranormal and the human worlds mixing together always amazes me. I think my favourite thing about this one was the fact that we’d had this clan introduced to us (in theory) by the Sea Dragons of Amber Bay trilogy.
Like I vaguely knew a few tiny details about this clan, but it was so cool to read about them in person coz I definitely wanted to know more about them!
When I got to the end of the book I just had to have more! I’m so glad Zoe flew through writing the next book coz it means I can jump into that as soon as I’m free!
