Wrap Up – July

I should’ve had one more review this month, but I didn’t coz I just ran out of time to set it up!

Of the 6 reviews, 3 of them are me finishing off another series review for The Boys of Jackson Harbour. Go me!

My Fav

I really enjoyed this one! I didn’t have to wait long since the previous book which was great. But it also reminded me why I need to go back and read the first 3 book!

I promise, reviews for the full series of First Comes Love is coming!

My Least Fav

You won’t have to wait long for my review of this, it’s coming out tomorrow!

As much as I love Zoe’s books, there was just something about this one that wasn’t as great as the others. It’s not that it was bad, it just felt like it was missing something.

Something that I’ve chosen to do across the month of August is to participate in Pawgust.

Pawgust is a challenge to walk for 30 minutes a day for 30 days in the month of August. The goal is to raise enough money to raise and train 22 puppies to become Guide Dogs in Australia.

I know many of you aren’t from Australia, but if you can spare a few dollars you can donate on my Pawgust Page. You can even follow my progress at Bones’ Instagram page to make sure we actually do walk 30 minutes a day for 30 days!

Pretty please help me raise funds to help those with low or no vision so they can get around independently. Ever dollar really does help go towards the $55,000 needed to raise a single puppy.

Wrap Up – July 2019

I’ve survived the coldest month of the year without adding on the dreaded winter weight! Although I think my asthma being managed has helped a lot, along with all the cardio training I’ve been doing at boxercise.

As some of you might have noticed, I’ve had a massive month (with one more review due on Wednesday!) with tours which will continue through to about mid-September. So let’s see how much I’ve got done this month.

Wow! Just WOW!

8 reviews, 3 discussions style posts and a cover reveal. I’ve also read 9 books and I’ve still got 6 day’s left of the month when I’m writing this up. Which means I can probably squeeze in a 10th book!

Now on to the fun stuff!

My Fav

I actually had 4 books I rated as 5 stars this month. So in the spirit of fairness (I mean, how much can I plug The Time for Alexander before it get’s weird?) I think I have to go with….I Will Follow Him.

This one came up on my radar right when I needed something warm and tropical. It also reminded a a bit of Veronica Mars and get me into that girl power detective mode right in time for a 4th season to be released. OK so maybe I need to find time to re-watch season’s 1-3 first because I’m that kind of person.

But seriously, this was great fun to read and exactly what you want when you’re stuck in miserable cold weather or sitting on a beach. If you haven’t already, I think you should pick up a copy!

My Least Fav

I gave this one 4 stars, but compared to the other’s this month is just lost out. If it had have been in another month Reclaimed by her Rebel Knight wouldn’t be sitting here.

Even as I’m writing this I kind of want to scrap this section this month because I don’t think any of them deserve to be rated as “bad” when this one just didn’t quite suit my feelings this month.

Now I know you haven’t actually had a chance to read this review yet. So make sure you come back on Wednesday to find out what I thought of this one compared to the rest!

What’s coming up

Well another crazy month for starters! For instance, this week alone I have 3 reviews and a publication day announcement scheduled. Then next week and for the rest of the month I already have 2 reviews a week scheduled.

So if I decide to write and share any of my discussion ideas with you this month I’d just be adding to that.

I’m also kind of hoping you’ll understand why Tamora Pierce needs to wait at least another month? I promise I will come back to her series review for the Circle Universe. Between study and all these tours I just don’t have time for it at the moment which I really hate.

My 2019 goals

Well I’ve continued to keep the weight off, I’m feeling stronger than ever. My chiro even said she can feel the difference and the stability in my muscles when she adjusts me. This has to do with it being a tinsy tiny little bit harder to adjust me because my core muscles have gotten stronger. Which is awesome by the way!

I’m now 22 books ahead of schedule thanks to my massive reading month. Even with managing to keep up with all my studies and getting a scholarship application together.

My boss can’t understand how I do everything I do, and sometimes neither can I!

I’m going to be jetting off to Vietnam for 2 weeks on Saturday so I’m hoping to get some good R&R in over that time. I’ve got 3 books I’m taking with me (the Kindle is coming as well but I actually want to read at least 2 of these and they’re physical copies so they tend to get left to last sometimes) so I’ll have something to read on the beach that won’t run out of battery. If I’m a bit quiet on the socials over this period it’s because I’m having an amazing time on the beach working on my tan.
