Emma, Zane, Lucas and Cade are back with a vengeance! And of course, all of the Penumbra Syndicate and Claire (who appeared at the end of Beastly Desires).

The fight Penumbra Syndicate has been working towards for the previous two books is finally here and it’s ready to burst! With a whole huge dash of character growth and development. We see Penumbra Syndicate plan to take final action against 5^th Circle and execute it.

This was probably my favourite out of all three of them, the only reasons I haven’t given it 5 stars is because of a bunch of typos most apparent in the last third and because I have to wait a year before the next book is released.

So please don’t let that make you think I didn’t like this one!

The growth between our main characters in this book is HUGE! Especially female hating, cold and mercurial Cade.

Cade’s growth was actually super impressive, and I loved seeing him come out of his shell and really learn about himself in a way he hasn’t had the opportunity to before. I’m so excited to see how he goes with what’s coming in the next book.

And of course, all of them now that they’re finding their groove as a foursome. Figuring out those dynamics would be so difficult so it’s always fascinating seeing them figure that out. And yes, I’m still upset I have to wait a whole year for the next book.
