We have a return of Emma, Zane, Lucas and Cade and Penumbra Syndicate. We get introduced to more of Penumbra including how they all came to be and their roles now that Emma is a now a full member, not a captive of Penumbra.

Emma has been kidnapped by the 5^th Circle and last we heard from Lucas, he got shot. It’s up to Zane and Cade to figure out where Lucas is and mount a rescue mission for Emma. Once they’ve rescued her, they need to find a way to live and work together while also eliminating their enemies.

I got this after I read the first one and found I really enjoyed it, then of course I finished this one and had to jump straight into the third book. Lucky for me I finished this one the day the third book came out so I could jump straight into it.

Just like the first one we were left on a cliff hanger, this time with a much better idea in mind and even an answer to my theory from the first book (which BTW I’m proud of myself for being right!). Throughout the whole story there was a great mix between the action and slowly developing romance and sexual chemistry between Emma and each of her beasts.
